I'll admit my approach to this novel may not be fair. I enjoyed 'Soul Wars,' the kick off to 2nd ed. AoS immensely and I expected (unfairly) the same approach to 'Dominion.' Dominion is a battle novel that, I'm sure by design is ment to show off the Realms of Beasts... and it does that extremely well. Some of the scenes involving the eccentricities of the land are quite fun (the river, is particularly interesting.) My complaint is that the green skin don't really make an appearance, at least fully anyway, until about two-thirds of the way through the novel. I would have also preferred more reflection and possibly interaction with the Gods, like they did in the novel 'Soul Wars.' Still, a decent entry in the series. Three and a half Stars. It just needed that extra oomph. Darius Hinks is easily the worst writer in the real of wathammer.
