1st person dual POVNaive, dormat 27 yr old h falls for Unredeamable horrible HWriting/language isnt really for me. Sounds to proper. Could use some contractions to not sound so robotic.Yoli 3Claudia 27Xander is 38SpoilersIm confused about all the good ratings. I know it's called arrogant jerk but I figured there had to be some parts where he was nice, sweet or good to her to make her fall for him but there isn't. Hes only semi nice for about a minute right before they sleep together but every other interaction is negative, hateful and hurtful. She must be off her rocker, she wants to help him because she can see hes been hurt. The only positive she sees from him it toward his daughter. So she fell for him just because he loves his kid. And it really jumps from nothing to everything. He treats her horrible for months, then they have a blow out fight where he ends up firing her. She drops her bomb, then poof hes crying and nice and they are both professing love. There is no connection or chemistry between them at all. It would be different it at least the reader had inner thoughts from the H about him caring and he was a little nice to her here and there but there is absolutely nothing and makes at all so far fetched and unrealistic.Numbers dont match up. Says Mrs. Mirchell (original nanny) is 10 years older then Xander who is 38. Which by that would make her about 48 but it says She was married 40 year, so she got married at 8???How is she a retired school teacher in Chicago with out a degree?We dont get any back story so it left me with questions and thinking negative about the h. At 27 why is she still a college student living in the dorms? Shes only been in college for 4 years, in the beginning she says she only has a few semesters left but the old nanny says she still had a lot of school left. And if shes been in school so long how is she still taking basic general classes like advanced algebra. Shes on her 3rd major so she should have finished all her gen ed while shes been trying to figure out her major. All just adds to making her seem naive and lost.Also get no back story on the H besides that his daughter's mother was a gold digger that hurt him. Which she is brought up way to much. Like when he proposes he literally in the next breath is talking about the ex and how he proposed to her.Feels like the author had an age for the H in mind so that he was mature and successful without being to old and then had an idea of a 10 year age gap but wanted a young h so tried to put it all to gether but it doesnt really work. The h is 27 but the way shes talked about and her being in college makes her sound like some 18 year old co-ed rather than the adult woman she is.
